Job Summary:

Centers, LLC is a professional management firm specializing in facility, operation, and program management for higher education institutions. As a key member of our team, the Facility Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to all medical and non-medical emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Oversee and delegate responsibilities to a team of six staff members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors, addressing their needs and concerns in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Ensure that all risk management measures are in place, including regular inspections and maintenance of facilities.
  • Assist in the evaluation and promotion of student staff, providing feedback and guidance to support their growth and development.
  • Troubleshoot issues with the POS, timekeeping, and payroll systems, providing technical support to student staff.
  • Assist in the interviewing and training of new student staff, ensuring they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Continuously monitor facility activity and program areas, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Document participation counts for each activity area, providing valuable insights for program development.
  • Setup for rentals and special events as needed, ensuring a seamless experience for clients.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling practices, maintaining a secure and efficient financial environment.
  • Complete Incident and Accident reports as necessary, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, supporting the overall goals and objectives of Centers, LLC.

Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of Recreation Services' practices and policies, with a strong understanding of facility operations and management.
  • Expert knowledge of Club Automation (Rec Auto) software, with experience in its implementation and maintenance.
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid/AED Professional Rescuer, with a strong commitment to safety and emergency response.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including early morning and evening hours, with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and events.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Stand for several hours, walking around facilities to monitor activity and respond to emergencies.
  • Assist in event setups, requiring lifting of objects exceeding 30 pounds.
