About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Per Diem On-Call Hospice Registered Nurse to join our team in the Alpharetta/Atlanta, GA area.

As a hospice nurse, you will play a vital role in providing comfort and support to terminally ill patients and their families.

Your responsibilities will include collaborating with physicians and other professionals to plan care, triaging phone calls, making visits to patients as needed, and providing emotional support and comfort.

You will also work with caregivers to plan and execute excellent patient care, help administer medication, and alleviate sudden symptoms of the disease's end phase.

We expect you to be knowledgeable in caring for the terminally ill and to possess excellent interpersonal skills, a compassionate nature, and sound judgment.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with physicians and other professionals to plan care
  • Triage phone calls
  • Make visits to patients as needed to evaluate their condition
  • Provide support and comfort according to individual patient's needs
  • Work with caregivers to plan and execute excellent patient care
  • Help administer medication
  • Alleviate sudden symptoms of the disease's end phase
  • Notify a doctor for a patient's condition when deemed necessary
  • Assist patients and their families with paperwork
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Help relatives cope with the upcoming loss and provide post-mortem support
About You

We are looking for a qualified RN with a valid license to practice in the State of GA, proven experience as a hospice nurse or registered nurse, and knowledge of nursing care processes and medication guidelines/side-effects.

You should be committed to safety precautions and high ethical standards, possess sound judgment and attention to detail, and have excellent communication skills and bilingual abilities a plus.
