We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Alta Strada - Mosaic, a renowned restaurant in Northern Virginia. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the back-of-house operations and ensuring the highest standards of quality and service.
About the Role:
- Oversee and lead the entire back-of-house restaurant team, including hiring and training new employees.
- Work closely with the General Manager to provide ongoing training of the menu to the front of house.
- Monitor and maintain the highest culinary standards, adhering to budgets, food cost targets, labor models, and other key performance indicators.
- Ensure all aspects of service and kitchen operations are of the highest standards, creating a learning environment and guiding professional development.
- Collaborate with James Beard Award-winning Chef Michael Schlow on menus and culinary initiatives.
Requirements:
- Experience and familiarity with Italian Cuisine in a professional setting.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive dining experience.
