Spare Parts Coordinator

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company in the industry, specializing in capital equipment for food, pharma, medical devices, and wet wipes. As a Spare Parts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the timely fulfillment of spare parts orders.
Key Responsibilities- Process and review spare parts sales orders to determine stock availability and place purchase orders as needed.
- Monitor inventory received and process current or sales back orders.
- Create pick tickets for shipping orders and notify customers of any changes or delays.
- Forward information on out-of-stock parts requests to your supervisor immediately.
- Advise customers when orders will be shipping short and provide a completion date.
- Process warranty claims and parts returns, ensuring established policies are followed.
- Ensure back-ordered parts are shipped out the same day they are received.
- Arrive at the workplace on time and adhere to the company's dress code and personal hygiene standards.
- Remain polite and professional at all times with customers.
- Report back to the Parts Department Manager daily with an accurate and concise update of progress, including recommendations for required parts and upgrades.
- Provide polite and professional telephone support to customers as needed, with proper documentation of calls.
- Complete parts requisitions properly and submit to the Supervisor of Spare Parts.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be capable of dealing effectively and professionally with customers and vendors.
- Must be literate with the use of a personal computer and common office software packages, preferably SAP.
- Position requires sitting for extended periods, up to eight hours per day, and standing and walking for extended periods throughout the day.
- Must be capable of working overtime with little or no notice to fill needs.
- Degree preferred but not required.
