Job Overview

Are you prepared to embrace a pivotal role that ensures the smooth flow of logistics? As a Dispatcher at Greatwide Truckload Management, you will play a crucial part in our operational framework, managing two essential aspects: handling incoming and outgoing communications and facilitating efficient order processing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to all incoming calls with professionalism and efficiency
  • Work collaboratively with agents and drivers to identify optimal freight solutions
  • Input orders into our operational system for seamless communication with agents and drivers
  • Issue timely fuel advances to support our drivers on their routes
  • Process requests for additional advances in accordance with established procedures
  • Direct drivers to the nearest repair facilities when necessary
  • Provide navigational assistance to drivers
  • Assign trip numbers in the system for agents and drivers
  • Conduct daily check-ins with drivers to monitor ETAs, provide updates, and resolve any issues
  • Serve as the primary support for agents during both routine and emergency situations
  • Identify and allocate freight to available drivers, enhancing route efficiency
  • Oversee purchase orders for inspections, repairs, and tire management
  • Adapt to a variety of tasks that ensure our operations run smoothly

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficient typing skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members
  • Flexibility to shift between tasks and reprioritize as needed
  • Solid organizational and time management capabilities
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Proficient in English communication (speaking, reading, writing)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the transportation sector
  • Familiarity with freight handling for various types of vehicles
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations

Work Schedule

This position requires in-person attendance from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
