Job Title: Spare Parts Assistant

This is a unique opportunity to join a growing company that has been servicing the food, pharma, medical devices, and wet wipes industries with state-of-the-art capital equipment for over 50 years.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Spare Parts Assistant to provide back office support to fill spare parts orders for our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and reviewing spare parts sales orders, monitoring inventory, and ensuring timely shipment of orders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and review spare parts sales orders to determine stock availability and place purchase orders to satisfy order requirements daily.
  • Monitor inventory received to process current or sales back orders.
  • Create pick tickets to enable orders to be shipped.
  • Notify customers of any changes or delays and forward information on out-of-stock parts requests to the supervisor immediately.
  • Advise customers when orders will be shipping short and provide a completion date.
  • Process warranty claims and parts returns, ensuring established policies are followed.
  • Ensure back-ordered parts are shipped out the same day they are received.
Requirements:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively deal with customers and vendors.
  • Literacy with personal computer and common office software packages, with SAP preference.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, up to eight hours per day, and stand and walk for extended periods throughout the day.
  • Capacity to work overtime with little or no notice to fill needs.
  • Degree preferred but not required.
