Key Responsibilities:
Assume responsibility for the center in the absence of the Administrator.
Implement policies and procedures with follow-up and oversight of staff to ensure compliance; collaborate closely with the Medical Director, Health Department, C.D.C., and others to ensure adherence to current standards of practice; recommend necessary changes in policies and procedures to the regional office.
Assist in preparing the departmental budget and manage the approved budget effectively.
Recruit, select, mentor, discipline, and terminate nursing department staff; ensure appropriate scheduling of nursing personnel; develop efficient workflows; conduct timely performance evaluations for nursing professionals.
Analyze and assess nursing and related services provided to enhance the quality of resident care and optimize staff utilization.
Ensure positive outcomes for residents; responsible for developing systems and work schedules that respect residents' lifestyles and support them in achieving the highest possible level of functioning; conduct daily rounds; follow up on each shift to ensure that changes in resident status are reported and documented.
Qualifications:
Current R.N. License issued by the State Board of Nursing is required, along with demonstrated managerial and administrative capabilities.
Preferably, experience in long-term care or working with the geriatric population.
A minimum of two years of supervisory experience is essential.
Skills in organizing and planning programs and assigning personnel to deliver nursing services to residents.
Ability to evaluate reports, programs, and other data against both subjective and objective criteria.
