Job Overview

Our esteemed client, a leading Claims Management organization, is seeking a seasoned Workers' Compensation Team Lead to spearhead their team in tackling intricate and complex cases. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for navigating the litigation process, negotiating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely and cost-effective claims resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Claims Analysis and Resolution: Conduct thorough investigations, gather information, and develop well-structured action plans to resolve complex workers' compensation claims in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Claim Recoveries: Manage claim recoveries, including subrogation, Second Injury Fund excess recoveries, and Social Security and Medicare offsets, to maximize returns for the client.
  • Litigation Management: Oversee the litigation process, ensuring that claims are resolved in a cost-effective and timely manner, while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Benefits Administration: Calculate and pay benefits due, approve and make timely claim payments and adjustments, and settle claims within designated authority levels.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or accredited university degree is preferred.
  • License: Valid NY Adjusters' License is required.
  • Experience: 3+ years of relevant WC experience.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation skills, ability to work with Microsoft Office products, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
