Job OverviewPosition Summary
The primary representative of the company accountable for the comprehensive direction, successful completion, and financial results of a project. Oversees and directs activities related to contract management, communication, subcontractor selection, financial forecasting, and scheduling requirements to ensure projects are executed efficiently, on time, and profitably. Maintains a strong focus on fulfilling and surpassing client expectations. Cultivates relationships with existing clients by honoring commitments and seeks new business opportunities with potential clients in a proactive manner, promoting all services offered by Gallant.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
  • Develops and oversees the project budget and coordinates all necessary invoicing and financial commitments.
  • Understands the requirements of the client’s contract, including insurance, bonds, fees, notifications, schedules, reporting, and costs.
  • Completes and submits monthly projected cost reports punctually.
  • Establishes a project fee schedule and cost analysis projection within 30 days of project award and acceptance of terms.

Preconstruction Services
  • Collaborates with clients and consultants to prepare, review, and monitor information and reports concerning all costs associated with developing the project budget.
  • Takes responsibility for determining the quantity of budget estimates and project scope deliverables for the client.
  • Manages the contracting process, which includes conducting initial scope review meetings, finalizing agreed pricing, developing subcontractor scopes of work, and overseeing contract execution.
  • Implements a client satisfaction survey during ongoing projects to assess progress and performance.
  • Leads all pricing efforts from service requests to additional scope requests from clients.

Project Initiation and Scheduling
  • Works with the Gallant Superintendent, subcontractors, and suppliers to develop a comprehensive project schedule that includes all major activities, deliverables, milestones, and completion tasks.
  • Creates an organizational and responsibilities matrix at the start of each project and identifies the resources required (e.g., personnel, systems, tools, internal and external services) while conducting kickoff meetings.
  • Reviews contract documents with all project participants to ensure work aligns with the project timeline and budget.
  • Coordinates and communicates all requirements for subcontractors and vendors to meet project schedules.

Project Administration and Closure
  • Responsible for project administration and daily operations, maintaining the overall project schedule, milestone dates, and schedule impact items. Reviews progress with project staff weekly and assigns responsibilities, execution, and follow-up plans.
  • Conducts weekly meetings with the Owner/Design Team to provide updated project information.
  • Handles all Owner progress billings and associated subcontractor invoice/payment processes.
  • Establishes relationships and communication tools with subcontractors and key personnel to ensure all project milestones are met. Ensures that all parties understand performance standards, quality, and expectations.
  • Maintains a secure project site and fosters a safe and respectful working environment through safety programs, risk management, training, and quality control.
  • Oversees and manages Project Closeout Documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and timely delivery.

Client Relations
  • Builds effective relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors, vendors, and user groups that reflect and support the company’s core values while meeting or exceeding client expectations.
  • Actively engages in industry, client, and community relations to enhance the company’s image.

Culture, Leadership, and Development
  • Promotes the company’s vision and purpose through dedicated service to clients.
  • Acts as a role model and encourages professional behavior.
  • Participates in and supports operations training programs, committing to the development of project staff and personal growth.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
