Miami, Florida, United States Hearing and Speech Center of Florida Full time
Position Overview

Company Overview

Welcome to the Hearing and Speech Center of Florida, a well-established non-profit organization dedicated to serving individuals with specialized educational needs for over 88 years. As one of the 45 Hearing and Speech Centers across the nation, our mission focuses on rehabilitation and habilitation services.

We are comprehensive service providers, offering a range of therapies including Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Educational and Behavioral Therapy. Our services are delivered in various settings such as hospitals, schools, and clinical environments.

We provide 30-40 hour workweeks, five days a week in each school placement; our clinicians are not required to travel between different schools. This allows for a consistent yet flexible schedule, ensuring that clinicians are not tasked with grouping children or similar duties. Currently, we have school placements available in the southern regions.

Additionally, we offer full-time positions with options for school or clinic placements, as well as opportunities in pediatric hospital settings.

Job Responsibilities

We are in search of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists who are eager to work with clients in educational environments during morning hours to fulfill our school contracts. The schedule aligns with local school district calendars, and clinicians who wish to increase their hours can also work additional shifts at our clinical site.

We provide comprehensive training and ongoing support, including mentorship from leadership. Positions are available on both a full-time and part-time basis, with options to be hired as a consultant or employee, complete with benefits. Our benefits package includes participation in the federal loan forgiveness program, as we operate as a charitable organization. Salary will vary based on whether the position is full-time with benefits or part-time.

We pride ourselves on being a competitive organization that offers long-term benefits. We are committed to matching all competitive offers, with hourly rates starting at $45, inclusive of all work-related tasks such as paperwork and meetings.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a valid Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech Assistant license from the Department of Health. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is advantageous.

*We will assist with all necessary credentialing and certifications.

Additional Information

Your information will be kept confidential in accordance with EEO guidelines.
