  • Essential Functions
    • Assist the District Manager in the oversight of the administration and budget control of Pueblo West departments.
    • Participate in the development and execution of Pueblo West's strategic plan.
    • Work in collaboration with the Finance Department and staff in preparation for, approval of, and implementation of the District budget.
    • Work with General Counsel to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
    • Collaborate with all management staff to identify and deliver the required operational support to the organization.
    • Draft and distribute statistical reports, analyses, and exhibits to District staff and stakeholders and, when required, to regulatory and government agencies.
    • Lead coordination and integration of efforts among operations to produce smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes.
    • Serve as a member of the organization's key operational decision-making and planning body.
    • Project a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
    • Participate in the hiring and training of departmental directors.
    • Organize and oversee the work and performance of departmental directors.
    • Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
    • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with policy.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • Bachelor's degree required in Public Administration, Business, or related field (master's degree preferred).
    • Experience
      • Three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible and complex experience in management (government, business, or military included), at least two (2) of which were in supervisory positions, and at least one (1) of which is at the C-level executive level.
    • Certifications
      • Must be able to obtain a valid Colorado driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle record within 30 days of hire.
