Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our team. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in supporting the management, oversight, and operation of all aspects within your pharmacy. This includes patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Safety: Ensure the safe handling and dispensing of medications, and maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
- Pharmacy Professional Practice: Stay up-to-date with the latest pharmacy practices and regulations, and provide guidance and support to pharmacy technicians and other staff members.
- Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and improve pharmacy operations, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients and customers, and respond to their needs and concerns.
- Personnel Management: Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and other staff members, and provide guidance and training as needed.
- Inventory Management: Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering and stocking medications and supplies.
- Financial Profitability: Contribute to the financial success of the pharmacy, and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
- Loss Prevention: Identify and mitigate risks to the pharmacy, and implement measures to prevent loss and waste.
- Workflow Management: Manage the workflow of the pharmacy, including prioritizing tasks and delegating responsibilities.
- Active Pharmacy License: Must have an active pharmacy license in the state in which you are employed.
- Immunization Certification: Must have immunization certification through an accredited organization.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and be free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
