Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Processing Supervisor to join our team at Michael Foods, Inc. in Britt, Iowa. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production processes, ensuring the highest quality products, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee production processes to ensure efficient and effective production of high-quality products.
  • Supervise and direct staff to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and government regulations.
  • Identify and resolve operational problems to minimize their impact on production.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, sanitation, safety, and other personnel to achieve desired levels of production, sanitation, and warehouse services.
  • Monitor and control ingredient usage and department costs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including timecards, downtime records, and absentee records.
  • Enforce company policies in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Encourage employee suggestions to improve production, quality, safety, and control costs.
  • Communicate regularly with the processing manager on operating and employee problems, quality, safety, and control costs.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment with progressive leadership responsibility.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Strong organizational and mechanical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and SAP.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teaming skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish verbal communication skills are a plus.
