Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to support our emergency shelter programs. As an Emergency Shelter Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our guests.

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the shelter environment is welcoming, safe, and secure for all guests. This includes building trusting relationships, maintaining a clean and organized facility, and enforcing shelter policies.

In addition, you will be responsible for providing guests with access to community resources, including referrals to substance use recovery agencies, food banks, and financial support services. You will also assist guests with meeting their basic needs through access to hygiene products, food, medical support services, and other community support services.

This position requires strong conflict management and de-escalation skills, as well as the ability to work with individuals who have experienced trauma, mental health issues, and substance abuse.

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000-$55,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including access to healthcare, retirement savings, and robust time off.
