Make a Difference in Your Community

We are seeking per diem shelter support team members to provide meaningful support to our community with a flexible, low-commitment work schedule. As a substitute shelter support team member, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of COTS guests, including building trusting relationships, maintaining the day-to-day upkeep of the shelters, and supporting guests with meeting the expectations and requirements of shelter programs.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of HS degree or equivalent, at least one year of related experience, and demonstrated conflict management and de-escalation skills. Experience with individuals experiencing homelessness and crisis intervention is a plus. The estimated salary for this role is $19.00/hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of COTS guests
  • Maintain the day-to-day upkeep of the shelters
  • Support guests with meeting the expectations and requirements of shelter programs
  • Proactively identify potential conflict and support COTS team members in de-escalating situations as needed
