Job Title: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality medical care to patients with neurology and pediatric conditions. As a skilled APRN, you will work independently and collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, including examining and treating patients, ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and advising patients on continuing care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough history and physical exams for follow-up patient visits.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic procedures to inform patient care.
  • Generate clinical revenue through accurate billing for clinical encounters.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on quality issues affecting patients with pediatric neurology disorders.
  • Respond to medical emergencies as needed and perform medical procedures with appropriate supervision.
  • Conduct multidisciplinary discharge planning, ensuring a smooth transition of care for patients.
  • Complete disability forms, insurance medical authorizations, and worker compensation forms in a timely manner.
  • Submit billing and complete patient visits reports in the EMS system.
  • Perform and document complete physical examinations and comprehensive health histories.
  • Function independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical exams for patients.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient-specific needs.
  • Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
  • Implement interventions to support patients in regaining or maintaining physiologic stability.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Valid State of Florida APRN License.
  • Certification as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) through organizations such as the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB).
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a neurology or pediatric setting.
