POSITION: On-Campus Community Support Specialist

COMPENSATION: In accordance with California regulations, the hourly wage for this position ranges from $19 to $21.

REPORTS TO: Community Manager

SUMMARY:

Through a collaborative effort between Capstone Management Partners (CMP) and Cardinal Group Management, we are dedicated to providing purpose-driven on-campus student housing management throughout the United States. CMP specializes in delivering tailored management services for university partners who prefer to outsource operational and facility management while retaining oversight of residential life services. Our focus is primarily on affiliated campus edge and on-campus student housing facilities. CMP merges the expertise of a nationally recognized housing development and asset management firm with the innovative practices of one of the leading student housing property management companies in the nation, Cardinal Group Management.

A CMP Community Support Specialist is a dynamic, sociable, and diligent team member. This role necessitates a commitment to exceptional customer service, safety awareness, and effective management of daily administrative responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (This list is not exhaustive):

Daytime Shift:

  • Greet students and visitors, either in person or via phone, addressing inquiries or directing them appropriately.
  • Manage front desk operations from 8 am to 8 pm (part-time / 4-hour shifts).
  • Ensure a safe and tidy reception area by adhering to established procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Assist with the move-in and move-out processes for all summer residents.
  • Support the turnover process within the units between summer sessions.
  • Monitor and distribute resident packages and mail.
  • Utilize MS Word and Outlook proficiently to create documents, send emails, and manage calendar appointments.
  • Contribute to team objectives by achieving related administrative results as needed.
  • Respond to phone calls and emails for CMP/CCA regarding occupancy and customer service.
  • Execute the lockout/key process for residents as directed by the Coordinator.
  • Participate in Cardinal U as required.

Overnight Shift:

  • Greet students and visitors, either in person or via phone, addressing inquiries or directing them appropriately.
  • Manage front desk operations from 12 am to 8 am (full-time / overnight hours).
  • Ensure a safe and tidy reception area by adhering to established procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contribute to team objectives by achieving related administrative results as needed.
  • Oversee the lockout/key system for residents, including verifying access permissions and issuing temporary keys/badges.
  • Participate in Cardinal U as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Punctual, detail-oriented, and motivated to work.
  • Availability to work up to forty hours per week, including weekends as assigned (for move-in, move-out, etc.).
  • Ability to embody the Cardinal Culture and uphold Cardinal's Core Values consistently.
