About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Specialist to join our team in Burlington, Ontario. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for preparing technical specifications, equipment lists, material lists, drawing lists and files for various projects.

Your experience with bulk material handling equipment such as conveyors, feeders, stockpiles, crushers, rail unloading facilities, ports and terminals, shiploader and stockyard equipment will be highly valued. You will also contribute to the delivery of multidiscipline engineering design by liaising with other engineering disciplines to coordinate technical information.

With a strong background in mechanical engineering and excellent communication skills, you will lead project scope with some supervision and interact comfortably with clients and provide direction to vendors and contractors.

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $95,000 - $140,000, depending on experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package including career advancement opportunities, work-life balance, holistic approach to wellness, and accessible leadership team.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution
  • 3 to 8 years of experience in preparation of tender packages, requisitions specifications, bid evaluations, package follow-up and vendor documents and drawing reviews
  • Knowledge of conveyor modelling software and discrete element modelling (DEM)
  • Ability to lead project scope with some supervision
  • Comfortable interacting with clients and providing direction to vendors and contractors
