About the Role
As a Technical Lead - Mechanical Engineering, you will be responsible for leading project scopes and ensuring that all technical information is coordinated and integrated into the overall project scope. You will work closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure that all technical information is accurate and up-to-date. Additionally, you will provide technical assistance and review drawings to ensure that they meet the required standards and specifications.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution
3 to 8 years of experience in preparation of tender packages, requisitions specifications, bid evaluations, package follow-up, and vendor documents and drawing reviews
Experience with bulk material handling equipment such as conveyors, feeders, stockpiles, crushers, rail unloading facilities, ports, and terminals, shiploader, and stockyard equipment
Experience performing calculations and design for bulk handling equipment and facilities
Knowledge of conveyor modelling software
Knowledge of discrete element modelling (DEM)
Able to lead project scope with some supervision
Comfortable interacting with clients and providing direction to vendors and contractors
Prior experience working with an engineering consulting firm, equipment vendors, or mining companies on mining, mineral processing, and port projects
Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and MS Project)
Working knowledge of CAD, SmartPlant, 3-D software is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly motivated with strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration
Strong problem-solving and organization skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
About the Salary
The estimated salary for this position is $95,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
