Job Summary

As a Respiratory Care Practitioner I at AHMC Healthcare, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team in this critical care position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care therapies to patients with pulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities, working under general supervision and medical direction.
  • Assist in the care and rehabilitation of critically ill patients, from newborns to geriatric patients, demonstrating an understanding of their functional and developmental needs.
  • Follow established protocols and procedures for Code Blue notifications, prioritizing clinical interventions and care.
  • Operate and maintain ventilators, troubleshoot issues, and perform ETT care, weaning, and extubation.
  • Administer oxygen, perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, and conduct pediatric heel sticks and capillary blood draws.
  • Provide aerosol medications, incentive spirometry, postural drainage, percussion, humidification therapy, and suctioning services.
  • Set up and monitor pulse oximetry, perform sputum induction, and assist with intubation and oral airway management.
  • Operate various equipment, including ventilators, oxygen administration devices, pulse oximeters, and suction equipment, in accordance with manufacturer instructions.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Current CA license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • PALS and ACLS certification obtained within 90 days.
  • Bilingual preferred.
