Senior RF Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled RF Engineer with extensive experience in RF and Plasma technologies. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the development and qualification of RF & Plasma tools within Plasma Enhanced CVD chambers, catering to both research and production needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the development and implementation of RF & Plasma tools in CVD chambers.
  • Execute experiments and perform characterizations of RF & Plasma systems using advanced instruments such as Network Analyzers and Spectrum Analyzers.
  • Innovate methods for RF distribution through antennas and networks to achieve stable plasma ignition.
  • Design and implement RF & Plasma arc detection techniques for R&D and production environments.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineers and customer support teams to troubleshoot and resolve RF & Plasma related issues efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of RF engineering and Plasma physics, particularly in CVD chambers with varying RF power levels.
  • Strong foundation in RF power delivery, impedance matching, and electronic circuit design.
  • Proven experience in high power RF component design and development.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety in the workplace.
  • Experience in customer support and resolving complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with various plasma types and their applications.
  • Understanding of challenges in large area plasma production.
  • Knowledge of plasma diagnostics and CVD technology.
  • Experience in mechanical design and system integration.
  • Proficiency in automated impedance matching techniques.
  • Experience with microcontrollers and communication protocols.
  • Ability to apply statistical methods for data analysis and performance evaluation.

Education:

  • Master's or PhD in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline, with a focus on high frequency electronics or plasma physics.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 6 years of substantial experience in RF/Plasma engineering across various frequencies.

  • Understanding of industry best practices and competitive landscape.

  • Mentor colleagues and lead small projects with manageable risks.

  • Ability to address complex issues with innovative solutions.

Additional Information:

  • Travel requirements: 10% of the time.

  • Salary range: $120,000 - $165,000, based on various factors.
