Compensation and Benefits Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Knoxville's Community Development Corporation This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers and has a keen eye for detail.
In this role, you will be responsible for generating payroll on a bi-weekly basis, resolving payroll issues with employees, and assisting with the timely remittance of reports and reconciliation of payroll-related accounts.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Compile, verify, and enter payroll data into an automated system.
- Process payroll and update employee payroll records.
- Generate internal payroll reports.
- Assist with preparation of journal entries.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Respond to, refer, and/or resolve employee payroll questions as appropriate.
- Maintain data files and other required documentation.
- Calculate taxes and fringe benefits. Prepare federal and state tax reports.
- Process payroll bi-weekly.
- Reconcile payroll-related accounts such as benefits payable and accrued leave.
- Respond to and escalate audit questions and requests for information as appropriate.
- Provide information and assist with budget preparation as assigned.
- Prepare various spreadsheets and reports as assigned.
