As a Nursing Attendant at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. Your responsibilities will include performing various patient care functions, adhering to established standards of care, policies, and procedures, and demonstrating a commitment to quality and effectiveness in your work habits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient care activities within the scope of competency, considering age-related needs of the patient.
- Collect data and provide information to the Registered Nurse to assist in revising the plan of care.
- Report unusual findings to the Registered Nurse and participate in problem identification and resolution.
- Transport patients, equipment, supplies, and specimens throughout the medical center, utilizing proper body mechanics.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement activities and utilize computer systems effectively and efficiently.
Requirements:
- Minimum one (1) year experience as a Nursing Attendant in an acute hospital, skilled nursing, extended care, or convalescent care setting.
- State Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a Nursing Attendant course or current enrollment in an approved RN or LVN program.
- Basic Life Support certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some positions may be posted as bilingual Spanish required on a position-by-position basis.
- May be expected to float to other areas within their scope of competency.
Notes:
- This is an on-call position, days and hours may vary.
