Analytic Recruiting is in search of a seasoned ABS Portfolio Manager who possesses a remarkable investment history and over a decade of experience in trading or portfolio management roles. This individual will spearhead the ABS strategy, leveraging a robust quantitative methodology, thorough due diligence, and a distinctive viewpoint.

Compensation: Competitive base salary plus performance bonuses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate superior risk-adjusted returns by trading and investing in a diverse range of ABS public and private opportunities, including but not limited to: Auto Loans, Unsecured Consumer Debt, Student Loans, Aircraft Financing, Solar Assets, Equipment Financing, Digital Infrastructure, Whole Business Securitizations, and other specialized ABS across various securities and loans.
  • Identify, evaluate, and execute transactions within the ABS market.
  • Provide comprehensive analysis and insights for thematic trades and significant structured transactions.
  • Enhance and refine methodologies for generating alpha through careful cusip selection, relative value assessments, and seizing market dislocations.
  • Establish and uphold frameworks for effective portfolio construction.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with issuers, originators, and sell-side trading, sales, and research teams.
  • Collaborate with the broader Structured Products investment, research, and quantitative teams.
  • Guide technology and modeling teams in developing and enhancing models and tools for risk management, workflow efficiency for securities and transactions, and macro/micro factor scenario modeling.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate should have strong academic credentials, including a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in ABS, with at least 10 years in a trading or portfolio management capacity.
  • A clearly defined investment process and a proven track record of delivering superior performance.
  • A comprehensive understanding of various structured product asset classes.
  • Experience in team management, talent development, and cross-functional coordination.
  • A genuine passion for markets and investing in ABS.
  • A growth-oriented mindset towards business development.
  • A preference for being an individual contributor within a highly collaborative team environment, valuing the benefits of shared idea generation.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in utilizing third-party platforms such as Bloomberg and Intex.
