Position Overview

The Entrance Attendant Leader plays a crucial role in overseeing the Entrance Attendant functions while also managing scheduling, coverage, and training responsibilities. This position is essential for directing traffic flow and providing assistance at the hospital entrances, ensuring a smooth experience for patients and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership Responsibilities: Support the Supervisor/Manager in team scheduling and coverage. Participate in the hiring process as necessary. Provide guidance and direction to the team in the absence of the Supervisor/Manager. Facilitate training for all new members of the Entrance Team. Create a positive first impression for all visitors by offering a warm and friendly greeting.

a. Assist with way-finding for patients and guests.

b. Address information needs of patients, families, and guests, directing them to appropriate hospital resources for problem resolution.

c. Ensure the entrance area is clean and well-maintained, both inside and outside.

d. Uphold professionalism and diplomacy consistently, adhering to the department's professionalism standards. Handle service recovery and conflict resolution for dissatisfied guests, collaborating with Service Excellence to achieve positive outcomes. Provide assistance to patients and families entering and exiting their vehicles at the hospital entrances. Manage Lost and Found services as required. Maintain effective traffic control at entrances to prevent congestion and illegal parking, coordinating with Security and Valet teams as necessary. Assist with transportation needs, including cab and bus vouchers. Employ effective communication skills to address the specific needs of diverse age groups, cultures, and developmental stages.

Qualifications

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent. Completion of department-specific training with demonstrated proficiency. Proven leadership experience and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Preferred

Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
