Veterinary ICU Specialist

About the Job: As a Veterinary ICU Specialist, you will be responsible for providing critical care to patients in our Intensive Care Unit. This includes collecting samples, placing IV catheters, preparing IV fluids and additives, and monitoring patient vitals.
Responsibilities:
- Calculating and administering medication, fluid additives, and CRI's
- Obtaining and reporting vitals, monitoring telemetry, and monitoring oxygen-dependent patients
- Placement and maintenance of nasogastric tubes, nasal cannulas, and central venous catheters
- Triage critical patients, recognize changes in patient status, and report to the doctor
- Educate and update owners on patient status and discharge patients from the hospital
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting
- 2 years of ECC experience required
- RVT preferred
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community
