About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team in the Emergency and Intensive Care Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our veterinarians and other staff members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Triage incoming patients and manage client relationships throughout their visit
  • Partner with veterinarians in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures, including catheter placement
  • Obtain and process laboratory samples, such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates
  • Utilize radiology imaging modalities for patient assessment
  • Execute, monitor, and recover sedation and anesthetic events
  • Provide exceptional client care to maintain long-term relationships
About You:
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different communication styles
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a proven track record of personal accountability
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledgeable of and able to effectively operate patient monitoring, laboratory, radiographic, and anesthetic equipment
  • Ability to accurately calculate volumes and rates of medications and other treatments
Requirements:
  • 2 years' experience as a veterinary assistant/technician in a progressive general practice and/or 1 year in a specialty practice
