Job Summary

Premise Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient interviews, take vital signs, and record information on patient charts
  • Prepare treatment rooms and patients for examination, ensuring a clean and sterile environment
  • Clean and sterilize medical instruments, maintaining a high level of hygiene and safety
  • Inventory and order medical supplies and materials, ensuring timely delivery and availability
  • Operate electrocardiograph (EKG) and other medical equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests
  • Administer injections or treatments, and perform routine laboratory tests, following established protocols
  • Schedule appointments and make follow-up phone calls to patients, ensuring seamless communication
  • Perform administrative tasks, complete client company and OSHA-regulated forms, and provide assistance at the front desk
  • Enter data into computer systems to maintain accurate clinic and patient records
Requirements
  • National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health-approved organization, or a Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands-on externship completed and passed
  • CPR (BLS for the Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer) Certification, including a hands-on evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor
  • State Lab Certificate (NV only)
  • CMA certification from a recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only)
  • Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software
  • Strong phlebotomy/venipuncture skills
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
