Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Appeals Coordinator to join our team at AMG Integrated Healthcare Management. As an Appeals Coordinator, you will be responsible for monitoring accounts for updates on appeal status and ensuring timely resolution of appeals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive research and resolution of appeals to ensure internal and regulatory timelines are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve appeals and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of hospital and insurance reimbursement and billing concepts and procedures.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word, are required.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience in hospital billing or insurance appeals/denials is preferred.
  • Knowledge in hospital and insurance reimbursement and billing concepts and procedures, as well as laws and regulations affecting payment compliance, denials and appeals recovery is preferred.
