Job Summary

The Paraprofessional on the Community Support Team at Arbor Care Solutions plays a vital role in providing essential support and services to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Support: Assist clients in implementing treatment and recovery plans, focusing on developing life skills and coping strategies.
  • Skill Development: Conduct skill-building activities with clients, such as budgeting, meal preparation, personal care, and social interaction.
  • Resource Coordination: Assist clients in accessing community resources, including housing, employment, and educational opportunities.
  • Collaboration with Team: Work collaboratively with the Community Support Team to ensure coordinated care and support for clients.
  • Crisis Support: Provide support during crisis situations, helping to stabilize clients and connect them with necessary services.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of client interactions and progress in accordance with organizational standards.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health or substance use disorders is preferred.
  • Knowledge of community resources and services available to clients.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions
  • Full-time, community-based position with varying hours, including some weekend work and on-call responsibilities.
  • Work involves frequent travel within the community to meet with clients and facilitate support services.
