Job Summary:

The Parking Cashier is a key role within ABM Industries, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth parking experience for our clients. As a Parking Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, and your friendly and professional demeanor will set the tone for their visit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Approach and greet all customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing a warm welcome to our parking facility.
  • Use respectful communication to assist guests with their questions, problems, and concerns, ensuring that their needs are met promptly and efficiently.
  • Relay customer concerns and/or information to the shift lead or Operations Manager as necessary, maintaining open communication channels throughout the day.
  • Be quick and responsive to provide excellent customer service, going above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Follow all company procedures and comply with all safety regulations, maintaining a safe and secure environment for our customers and staff.
  • Issue and/or collect visitor parking tickets, matching visitor tickets to the parking rate schedule and collecting proper payment from visitors and distributing correct change.
  • Complete lost ticket forms when original tickets cannot be located, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Reconcile receipts, cash, and charges, accurately accounting for all funds within the cashier drawer.
  • Perform revenue drops following specific location procedures, ensuring that all financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area, adhering to company standards for cleanliness and organization.
  • Answer the telephone in a prompt and courteous manner, when required, providing excellent customer service and responding to customer inquiries.
  • Immediately report accidents, incidents, or safety concerns to the Operations Manager or Shift Lead, maintaining a safe and secure environment for our customers and staff.
  • Communicate professionally at all times with guests, clients, and teammates, maintaining a positive and respectful attitude throughout the day.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required.
  • No experience required; on-the-job training provided.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of similar experience preferred.
