Position: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Southeast, Washington, DC

Role Overview: We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining the functionality and safety of various systems within government facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform adjustments and repairs on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and structural components.
  • Utilize troubleshooting skills to address issues with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and related technologies.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks, including servicing filters, cooling towers, and heating/cooling coils.
  • Execute repairs and installations from elevated positions such as ladders and scaffolding.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Certification in CFC is mandatory.
  • Ability to obtain HSPD-12 Clearance is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in confined spaces and perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of equipment weighing up to 20 pounds, with occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
  • Work environment may involve exposure to dirt and grease, both indoors and outdoors.

Compensation: $39.98 per hour

Benefits: Comprehensive health and welfare benefits as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
