We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Transition Consultant to join our team at Guidehouse. As a key member of our North Market Team, you will play a critical role in guiding our utility clients through the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement decarbonization and resiliency plans for our clients.
  • Support the strategy, design, and evaluation of customer-focused programs, including energy efficiency, heat electrification, demand response, energy storage, electric transportation, and distributed solar.
  • Support the development and implementation of distribution and transmission investments to modernize energy networks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry or consulting experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading small teams.
  • Client service orientation.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with data analytics.
  • Strong interest in business strategy, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
  • An inquisitive nature and desire for continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Experience creating models within Excel and/or experience with R or other programming languages (e.g., Python).
  • Knowledge and experience in industry topics such as energy efficiency, electric transportation, renewable energy, electric transmission and distribution infrastructure, natural gas systems, wholesale markets.
  • Understanding of business and project management fundamentals.
  • Tireless attention to detail in all prior experience (academic and professional).
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to executive audiences.
  • Excellent at visualizing data, synthesizing insights, and storytelling with data.
  • A history of successful, creative problem-solving.
  • Excitement to explore the underlying cause of the observation/result.
