AECOM's Energy Practice

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Engineer III to join our growing Energy Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering smart energy projects that leverage the use of data analytics to identify, analyze, and specify energy reduction measures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement energy efficiency solutions by employing data analytics and mechanical systems expertise.
  • Interface with clients to identify project/scope needs and communicate engineering solutions.
  • Conduct energy audits and site investigations to identify energy reduction opportunities.
  • Analyze utility data to determine customer energy performance parameters and develop applicable rate structures used for cost savings calculations.
  • Perform energy calculations using temperature-bin analysis methods and building energy modeling simulations to quantify energy conservation measures (ECMs).
  • Develop cost estimates associated with ECMs and write technical scopes of work for subcontractors.
  • Write detailed ECM and technical approach descriptions to be included in proposal submissions.
  • Lead client project meetings to inform stakeholders' understanding of data analysis output.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience.
  • 4 years of relevant experience must include knowledge of the energy services industry and complex HVAC systems.
  • Valid US Driver's License, and as a condition of employment, pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the energy services industry, utilities, advanced manufacturing, and/or life sciences.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification.
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience analyzing renewable energy systems.
  • Related experience and familiarity with energy policy, regulation, and economics.
