Job Title: Engineering Manager

Job Summary:

Leidos is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of energy engineers in providing technical oversight and support for energy efficiency projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in energy management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of energy engineers to meet program technical requirements and support field staff on technical project issues.
  • Accurately calculate energy savings of all types of energy efficiency opportunities and communicate these estimates to team members, customers, and vendors.
  • Review energy efficiency savings estimate calculations from others for accuracy.
  • Support team members in working closely with facility managers, engineers, and vendors to obtain data for energy efficiency practices and measures.
  • Evaluate energy-consuming systems and consult on behalf of the utility energy efficiency program.
  • Develop relationships with customers and vendors to stay up-to-date on energy efficiency technologies and practices.
  • Provide effective organization and communication.
  • Perform field verification of pre- and post-installation of energy efficiency measures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field with eight plus years of relevant experience in energy efficiency and/or energy management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
  • A valid driver's license and physical ability to perform field verification of pre- and post-installation of energy efficiency measures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive relevant experience with industrial manufacturing environments, commercial retro-commissioning, and/or strategic energy management practices.
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing environments or commercial building retro-commissioning is a plus.
