Job Overview:

The Fixed Assets Analyst is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, comprehensive analysis, and detailed reporting on fixed asset matters. This role encompasses various responsibilities including AFE closures and management of myAFE/myBIT systems, all in alignment with corporate policies.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the AFE closure process to guarantee timely project completions.
  • Conduct thorough AFE closures and accurately allocate costs to the corresponding assets.
  • Ensure that allocated values correspond with project and asset valuations.
  • Collaborate with Area and Project Managers to identify asset numbers utilized in projects.
  • Coordinate with purchasing departments to address any discrepancies with POs and invoices.
  • Assist in the creation of new asset numbers for AFE/Project.
  • Provide training and support for AFE processes and address any issues in myAFE.
  • Facilitate revisions of AFEs as needed (Budget, Project Manager, or Date changes).
  • Work closely with IT to troubleshoot myAFE issues related to the AFE closure process.
  • Research and analyze AFE costs to support financial decision-making.

Additional Duties:
  • Prepare and assist in generating reports for management review.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation on AFE/myAFE procedures.
  • Be available for overtime as necessary to meet project deadlines.
  • Engage in special projects as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP data querying

Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Project Management, or a related field
- Experience in the drilling or oilfield service industry with asset management
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and interpersonal abilities
- Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage workload independently
- Team-oriented with a sense of urgency to meet departmental deadlines
- Ability to conduct research and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Capable of working under pressure and managing multiple tasks with competing priorities
- Proficient in handling and organizing large volumes of data.
