Job Summary

The Quantitative Commercial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and pricing structured energy transactions, physical assets, and potential strategic transactions. This role requires a strong understanding of financial modeling, risk management, and energy market fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and improve financial models to price and access the risk of structured energy transactions.
  • Conduct targeted market analysis to identify sources of value and risk.
  • Presents valuation results to executive management.
  • Communicates extensively with all levels of management regarding opportunities and limitations of analysis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, advanced degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of energy industry experience, preferably in a commercial or quantitative capacity.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following: VBA, R, Python.
  • Knowledge of U.S. wholesale natural gas and electric market fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated understanding of asset valuation methods.
  • Valuation of commodity and derivative transactions.
