Job Summary:

The Plant Controller is a key member of the Cooper Standard team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Company standards.
  • Manage the accounting staff and provide guidance on financial reporting and analysis.
  • Collaborate with the Plant Manager to identify financial and operational risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to management, including P&L and Balance Sheet analysis.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and standards, and ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel, as necessary.
