We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Controls Engineer to join our team at Air Liquide. Key Responsibilities- Perform electrical and controls engineering work for capital projects, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices.
- Work collaboratively with manufacturing personnel to ensure reliable operation of equipment and control systems, providing detailed technical instructions and guidance for operators.
- Participate in the design and implementation of continuous improvement projects related to automation platform infrastructure, instrumentation, and monitoring systems.
- Interface with IT for local support issues, ensuring seamless integration of control systems with various IT technologies and systems.
- Develop and deploy ethernet-based industrial networks, designing and commissioning control systems by configuring and developing PLC software.
- Provide process control assistance for the manufacturing area, working with operators and mechanics to understand business, site, and user needs and priorities.
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited institution.
- 3+ years of relevant experience, including programming PLC/DCS for chemical plant design and operation, as well as process data collection and distribution for wider corporate use.
- Knowledge and experience of instrument engineering, applicable codes and standards for process control hardware and software, and procurement, installation, and testing of communication devices.
- Ability to develop and interpret electrical schematics, experience in developing and deploying ethernet-based industrial networks, and demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work in both self-managed and team environments.
- Experience with FT View, Logix 5000, PlantPax, Allen Bradley PLCs, and FT Historian, FT Asset Center.
- Experience in a rapid-growth environment, trained in standard procedures for safe gas and chemical handling, and chemical plant operation experience.
- Team player with leadership abilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and understanding of electrical distribution and power loading in industrial control systems.
At Air Liquide, we offer a competitive salary range of $100k - $110k, with an additional annual target incentive of 9% based on performance.
