Position Summary:
This Controller role serves as a key business partner to the plant operations team, significantly impacting performance enhancement and regulatory compliance at the APL Lickdale facility.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and communicate business outcomes effectively.
- Spearhead initiatives aimed at performance improvement.
- Manage inventory and capital expenditure levels proactively.
- Ensure adherence to all TE policies and procedures.

This role encompasses support for forecasting, budgeting, month-end closing, cost management, inventory accuracy, product costing, lean manufacturing enhancements, process optimization, and internal controls. It is essential to maintain a robust control environment while balancing the business partner responsibilities.

Essential Duties:
- Oversee internal control and compliance functions.
- Cultivate talent and build a cohesive team.
- Engage in budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closing activities.
- Drive operational involvement and lean manufacturing improvements.
- Lead process improvement and cost-saving initiatives.

The position provides direct financial guidance to the Plant Manager, collaborating with local and Business Unit teams on strategic projects, delivering impactful analytics, and facilitating informed decision-making across all business facets.

Collaboration:
- Partner with the plant manager and staff to address plant challenges in alignment with company interests.
- Leverage understanding of plant operations and products to enhance costing, forecasting, budgeting, and overall business management.

Financial Strategy:
- Work alongside operations to define expectations for material and conversion productivity.
- Mentor team and value stream leaders on financial principles of lean manufacturing to optimize labor, materials, and processes.

Be proactive in establishing spending targets for the plant and value streams, outlining a clear roadmap for productivity achievements. Assess and communicate performance deviations from financial objectives.

Expertise:
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of SAP within a manufacturing context, identifying key material and conversion variances to focus operational efforts on improvement opportunities.
- Provide root-cause analysis for variances and advocate for critical business positions.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in Finance, with at least 5 years in a large manufacturing environment.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and data management systems.
