Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse II

PennState Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse II to join our team in the Emergency Department. As a LPN II, you will provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or provider.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse II will observe, report, and record medical information and nursing care provided in the electronic medical record. You will instruct patients and families according to the teaching plans and communicate with the healthcare team to facilitate the coordination of individualized patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or provider.
  • Observe, report, and record medical information and nursing care provided in the electronic medical record.
  • Instruct patients and families according to the teaching plans.
  • Communicate with the healthcare team to facilitate the coordination of individualized patient care.
Requirements:
  • Currently licensed to practice as a licensed practical nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate LPN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact or eligible for licensure in state of employment.
  • One (1) year of LPN experience required.
  • BLS Certification required prior to orientation.
