Surgical Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Aurora Medical Center – Sheboygan County. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our surgical team to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain aseptic surgical environments, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.
- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, providing support and maintaining a sterile field.
- Operate and maintain various types of equipment used in the operating room, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Transport patients and equipment, utilizing proper technique and safety protocols.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices.
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull with 30 pounds of force, and perform a sliding transfer of 150 pounds with a second person present.
