Job Summary
Moen is seeking a highly skilled Material Attendant to join our team. As a Material Attendant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by leading the team to build and maintain a culture of safety, monitoring material flow, and ensuring proper inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the warehouse team to build and maintain a culture of safety, including communicating near misses, following up on near miss action items, performing safety audits, and participating on the Plant Health & Safety Review board.
- Monitor material flow and adjust the workforce accordingly to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
- Ensure that all material is properly verified, picked, put away, and confirmed in accordance with warehouse metrics.
- Perform audits to ensure proper management of inventory and conformance to standard procedures.
- Communicate in shift turnover meetings to ensure that each shift has been properly informed of plans pertinent to efficient warehouse operations and material flow.
- Know and possess the ability to perform all of the standard procedures related to the Material Attendant job.
- Ensure new associates are trained in accordance with written procedures and monitor the training progress of all new associates.
- Participate in monthly safety program activities and maintain housekeeping standards in the Warehouse.
- Provide leadership through coaching, counseling, and feedback to associates to continuously improve performance, address issues, and discipline when needed.
Requirements
- High School degree or GED equivalent.
- Associate must not have been awarded a job through a posting in the previous six (6) months.
- Associate must have less than (2) incidents under the attendance policy.
- Associate can have no written disciplinary warnings within six (6) months of the posting date.
- Associate must meet all the minimum qualifications outlined on the job bid.
- Associate completes a job bid in SmartRecruiters before the posting deadline.
- A 90-day probationary period applies to all job postings.
- Must be willing to hold the position anywhere within the department.
