Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Program Manager to join our team at Seattle Children's. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for managing, assessing, and enhancing the provision of mental health assessment and treatment services to children, adolescents, and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Department Directors, physicians, and clinical staff to develop and implement mental health programs and services.
  • Assess and enhance the quality of mental health services, ensuring compliance with patient safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement staffing plans, scheduling, and staff development to meet current and anticipated needs.
  • Partner with departmental and hospital leadership to develop, integrate, and expand Psychiatry Consultation and Emergency Department Mental Health programs.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive intake evaluations with multi-axial diagnoses.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to mental health professionals, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to provide high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
  • Minimum of two years' experience providing direct treatment services.
  • Licensed as a Mental Health Professional in Washington State, licensed in appropriate field according to degree (e.g., LICSW, LMHC) or 5 years of equivalent experience with requirement to get licensed in appropriate field according to degree (e.g., LICSW, LMHC) within 1 year of hire.
  • Safety Care certification (internal training) required within 3 months of hire and annually thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with multi-system involved children with severe behavioral problems and/or developmental disabilities.
  • Experience with the King County MHP and Washington State Mental Health WACs.
  • Experience providing comprehensive intake evaluations with multi-axial diagnoses.
Compensation and Benefits

Seattle Children's offers a competitive salary range of $111,167.00 to $167,856.00 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 403(b), life insurance, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
