Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Program Manager to join our team at Seattle Children's. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, assessing, and enhancing the provision of mental health assessment and treatment services to children, adolescents, and families.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field, and a minimum of two years' experience providing direct treatment services. They will also be licensed as a Mental Health Professional in Washington State or have equivalent experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring staffing plans, scheduling, and staff development to meet current and anticipated needs. They will also partner with departmental and hospital leadership to develop, integrate, and expand Psychiatry Consultation and Emergency Department Mental Health programs throughout the hospital and the region.

Responsibilities
  • Manage, assess, and enhance the provision of mental health assessment and treatment services to children, adolescents, and families.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor staffing plans, scheduling, and staff development to meet current and anticipated needs.
  • Partner with departmental and hospital leadership to develop, integrate, and expand Psychiatry Consultation and Emergency Department Mental Health programs.
  • Ensure compliance with patient safety and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years' experience providing direct treatment services.
  • Licensed as a Mental Health Professional in Washington State or have equivalent experience.
  • Safety Care certification required within 3 months of hire and annually thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Minority Mental Health Specialist designation.
  • Experience working with multi-system involved children with severe behavioral problems and/or developmental disabilities.
  • Experience with the King County MHP and Washington State Mental Health WACs.
