Overview

Michael Page is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to become a vital part of our client's finance team. This position offers a pathway from temporary to permanent employment, and candidates should be readily available.

Company Background

The organization is a reputable and expanding entity within the manufacturing sector. The role requires in-office presence for three days a week.

Key Responsibilities


• Execute monthly journal entries for both the corporate entity and its various subsidiaries.


• Conduct departmental audits during the financial close and reconcile intercompany income and balance sheet accounts.


• Aid in the consolidation of financial data, reported in various currencies, across multiple reporting units in North America and globally, ensuring precision, reasonableness, and appropriate elimination of intercompany transactions.


• Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and assess if any adjustments are necessary.


• Collaborate with global site contacts and corporate departments (including Tax, Treasury, Legal, IT, HR, and Investor Relations) as required during the financial close process.


• Undertake additional special projects as assigned.

Candidate Profile


• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.


• A minimum of three years of professional experience in corporate accounting and consolidation is preferred.


• Previous experience with ERP/financial systems is essential, with familiarity in OneStream being advantageous.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and time management skills are required.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is necessary.


• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a hands-on team of professionals, with a strong work ethic.
