Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled and meticulous Staff Accountant to become a member of our vibrant team. This position will primarily be based in Harrison, Ohio, with occasional travel to Burlington, Kentucky. The salary range for this role is between $60,000 and $80,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities:

In collaboration with the Director of Finance and the finance team, you will be instrumental in establishing and executing financial and accounting operations. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Ensuring precise financial activity and reporting for designated entities.
  • Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations.
  • Coordinating and executing essential aspects of the monthly financial closing process.
  • Maintaining the chart of accounts, work papers, and other financial documentation.
  • Generating various financial reports and documenting inter-company transactions.
  • Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits.
  • Managing cash account activities, performing bank reconciliations, and supporting cash forecasting.
  • Maintaining fixed asset and lease schedules.
  • Collaborating with Operations Project Managers to ensure accurate project reporting and timely invoicing.
  • Assisting with other key financial functions, such as Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, as necessary.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Candidate Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong ability to communicate accounting and financial information in layman's terms.
  • Experience in a complex, multi-entity environment is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
