Position: Accounting Specialist
Contract to Hire with potential for full-time employment

Compensation: $28 - $32 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and tax compliance.
  • Execute full-cycle bookkeeping, handling all aspects of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing processes.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy of invoices and purchase orders.
  • Prepare and record monthly journal entries.
  • Reconcile balance sheets, ledgers, and accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
  • Analyze financial data and report on financial status, including variances in income statements.
  • Ensure adherence to internal processes and compliance with regulations.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial planning activities.
  • Review and suggest improvements to accounting systems and procedures.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, ideally within the engineering sector.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and relevant regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in both private and public accounting environments.
  • Ability to manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts receivable, invoicing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Capability to interpret and analyze financial statements effectively.
  • Experience in managing intercompany transactions and corporate consolidation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
