Senior Accountant for Partnership Operations

The Senior Partnership Accountant plays a crucial role in supporting the Corporate Accounting team, ensuring seamless operations across various responsibilities. This position involves:
Key Responsibilities:- Executing accounting tasks related to joint ventures, including managing monthly and quarterly distributions, contributions, and income allocations.
- Monitoring equity accounts for ventures, such as waterfalls and HLBV calculations.
- Preparing reconciliations for equity method investments and noncontrolling interests, along with EIE and NCI calculations.
- Collaborating with other departments to generate transactional journal entries for acquisitions and dispositions, while assisting in the review of purchase price allocations.
- Contributing to the preparation of shareholders' equity, with a solid understanding of stock-based compensation.
- Tracking and reporting UPREIT OP unit statements for unitholders, including the calculation of distributions and income allocations.
- Working with corporate accounting to prepare consolidating journal entries on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Assisting with internal and external audit requests related to quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Preparing and reviewing various 10Q/K disclosures and other quarterly reporting schedules.
- Managing Reg G/Non-GAAP reconciliations and reporting.
- Preparing and reviewing joint venture financial statements for quarterly and annual reporting, including coordinating annual stand-alone audits.
- Assisting in the preparation of the consolidated statement of cash flows and supporting cash flow schedules.
- Conducting technical and peer research, presenting findings effectively.
- Completing special projects as assigned by leadership.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Accounting.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Public Accounting with a Big 4 Firm.
- CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA is required.
- Ability to comprehend complex corporate structures and consolidation processes.
- Proficient in spreadsheet software, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experience with Yardi is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in business recommendations.
- Team-oriented with the capability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Base Salary: $90,000 - $115,000, based on candidate experience, plus generous cash incentives.
