Job Summary:

The Area Supervisor is a key member of the Store Leadership team, responsible for overseeing a specific area of the store and ensuring the smooth operation of the store as a whole. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and maintain a clean work area at all times.
• Maintain a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment for everyone.
• Immediately correct or report any unsafe conditions or practices to Store Leadership.

Security and Loss Prevention:

• Responsible for the security of the building, including entrance/exit control, Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) devices, and cash office security.
• Test all fire alarm systems as scheduled.

General Merchandising:

• Responsible for receiving merchandise trucks and processing all merchandise with a sense of urgency.
• Ensure the receipt of all non-merchandise inbound deliveries, such as signs and supplies.
• Help deliver and place merchandise on the sales floor when all merchandise is processed.

Front End Supervision and Operations:

• Execute all Company Best Practices and maximize productivity by minimizing steps and extra touches when working.
• Ensure Associates are executing to Company standards at the Front End.
• Maintain pace, energy, and 'presence' at the Front End, managing the line to expedite.

Administrative Duties:

• Ensure cash pulls and bank deposits are conducted to Company policy.
• Responsible for Front End control when needed.
• Understand and adhere to policies and procedures related to refund approval, Associate purchase approval, securing tills and cash in safe, register Paid Outs/Ins, void approval, register media, and break schedules.

Requirements:

• Fluency in English.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PC as required.
• Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
